Review & Swatches: Finally Found my HG eyeliner – Leanani Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

About a year back, my friend from Hong Kong was asking if I could help her buy an eyeliner that she’s been using.  At that time, I didn’t pay much attention to this product, however a few months ago another friend asked me to do the same, so I finally decided to look into it a bit more…

AND…I realised this Leanani Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner has been a hit product for a while, SO…I couldn’t help getting it~

FINALLY…I found my HG eyeliner!! That’s basically my story with this eyeliner XD Here comes the review (sorry for the wait…)

If you have read my posts before, you may remember that most gel eyeliners (Maybelline/Kate)  tend to transfer to my upper eyelid, and Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-on eye pencil / NYX eyeliners smudge on me.

So I am reviewing this product based on my 1) asian, 2) eyeliners easily smudged/transferred eyes~

I bought the black one, and this product is also available in brown (which I’m going to buy soooon!) The black is really black (see picture), and with the fine tip, you can draw thin line easily but I prefer a bit thicker line.

leanani

It’s really easy to use, and with its fine tip, it’s very good for any flick/wing you would like to draw.

And it lasts pretty much all day, I really don’t have to worry about reapplying at all (but having said that, it’s been winter here, will see how it works out through the summer!)

Finally, I know it’s too much to ask for, but the ease of removing it is also pretty important to me…This eyeliner is soooo easy to remove, please check the video to see how it is~

About the brand, Leanani is a Japanese brand, definitely not the major cosmetic brands in Japan, I hadn’t heard about this brand until my friend told me about, and this brand is not available everywhere, the easiest way is to get it online.
Color 10/10

Usage 9/10

Lasting 9/10

Ease of removal 10/10

Price 7/10

Hair/ Body/ Skincare products I used before my wedding♥Loreal/Essential/House of Rose/Apivita

Just like many of you, I tried my best to look best on my wedding.

Which means not only what makeup you use on your big day, it also means how well you prepare yourself to be in the best condition!
Luckily, my skin wasn’t so bad I didn’t have to put too much effort to “repair”, however my hair wasn’t horrible! The ends are dry and split (,,-`_●-) but I didn’t wanna get a haircut cause I would like my hair to be as long as possible.
SO! There I found two products that definitely saved my hair from being the worst!!
And today I am going to introduce these products!

When “Gorgeous” is not enough to desrcibe: Les Merveilleuses Laduree

I have been wanting to introduce this brand for so long, as usual…it took me quite a while to actually get to it (>.<)

So as most of you may have heard of the brand – Laduree, a well-known French Patisserie Brand. But I am not introducing their macaron (I know how much girls love them!), I am going to introduce their makeup brand!! (Yes, something we all love!!)

Les Merveilleuses Laduree is a relatively new brand – launched in Jan 2012, the makeup company behind this is Albion (which also has Anna Sui, Paul & Joe on their brand list). When I first saw their makeup, it literally took my breath away…it’s so pretty…gorgeous…stunning…, I can’t find the right word to describe it. I would dream of having all of their products sitting on my dresser! However, the dream won’t come true so soon because this brand is really really expensive!

So girls, picture time!!!

Suqqu Beauty Show – Spring/Summer Collection

20130226-1

Last week when I was surfing the net randomly, I realized Suqqu was doing a beauty show the next day! Since I was in the neighbourhood and the time was perfect, I decided to stop by and check out their Spring/Summer collection.

And luckily, their makeup artist had some times to spare, and he did a quick makeup on me!
I have had experiences at other brand’s beauty counter but it wasn’t so pleasant, because they put way too many products on my face and caused breakouts (read my posts here) but Suqqu didn’t! I have been wanting to try a couple of their products, and I’m glad I did, because they are so pricey and I don’t know when I’ll be able to buy them…

Most of the products I have tried are new in their Spring/Summer collection.

1) Blend colour eyeshadow

20130226-2

~The colours are really pretty, and it’s quite long lasting

2) Creamy Grow Lipstick Moist in EX-08 Sangodama

20130226-3

~It’s a really pretty colour. Suqqu beauty advisor said this lipstick is really moisturising, we don’t need lip balm before using it. It’s kinda like an all-in-one lipstick. I think the lipstick is very moisturising, and it seems to be very popular because I heard it was sold out already.

3) Face Color Palette

20130226-4

~A very beautiful palette, the color is very light so perfect for a natural look.

4) Eyeliner creamy in Navy

~Long lasting, didn’t crease on me at all.

20130226-5

5) Balancing Eyebrow & Eyebrow Liquid Pen

20130226-6 20130226-7

~The colours are very natural, and the liquid pen is good for drawing missing brows

After trying a couple of products from Suqqu, not all the products are worth the price, so if you are interested in this Suqqu, I remember the followings:

1) Suqqu brushes – definitely best of the best, feels like air! It’s on top of my shopping list~

2) Their foundations (See my review here)

3) eyebrow liquid pen, not many makeup brands offer this kind of product, it would be useful if you wanna fill in your missing brows and still look natural.

Japanese Magazines♥Sweet & Koakuma Ageha♥

I love Japanese magazines, I started buying Japanese way before I could speak japanese, because it’s just so inspiring and exciting to look at the pictures.

It’s really not necessary to understand japanese! And there’s more!! Not only the beautiful japanese makeup and fashion, the little gift (付録Furoku) that comes with the magazine is always so tempting! In the past, I used to buy “non-no”, “cutie”, “with”, “more” magazines just because I thought their styles are pretty close to what I like, but recently I started choosing magazines by the gift (furoku), because they are so pretty ♥♥

Anyway, after I decided to go to makeup school I thought it would help if I start studying different kinds of makeup. So last week I bought “Koakuma Ageha”, which is a gyaru fashion and lifestyle magazine. Gyaru…is not really my style, but it would be fun to learn how they do their makeups! Of coz, the little gift that comes with the magazine is a fake lashes case by Cecil McBee♥

Today, I went to 7-11 to buy lunch (coz I was too lazy to cook), and I saw the Oct issue of “Sweet”, of course the cover is gorgeous but gift is what really caught my attention!! A red Coach case with note pad! How could I resist!

Ain’t it pretty???? The magazine and this gorgeous coach case it costed only 690yen(~USD8.9)♥♥

I’m loving Japan♥♥

♥The Suqqu Story♥

Suqqu is a Japanese brand, however the first time I heard about this brand was from a video made by Celebrity Makeup Artist Lisa Eldridge.

Suqqu’s brushes have become many makeup lover’s favorite. It’s also chosen as the winner of Best Brushes by Tatler Beauty Awards in 2012, and Cosmopolitan UK Beauty Awards in 2011. If you have ever tried a Suqqu brush, you would agree and just wonder why it doesn’t get more awards. It’s a brush of air!

However, Suqqu is a very expensive brand. For example, a face brush would cost nearly USD420, a lip brush would cost about USD60.
